This blog will report stories from my travels to the Balkans in October, some of them chess-related, others more touristic. The plan of the journey is as follows:
3-11 October: Croatian Team Competition in Bol on the Dalmatian island of Brac. Together with my Dutch teammate Arthur Pijpers, I am representing the colors of SK Brda in Split. (More about this remarkable club and its remarkable members will be said later)

17-24 October: European Club Cup (ECC), Skopje, with my Dutch team, the Leidse Schaakgenootschap (LSG)
